It is a polymer modified, non-cracking and non-shrinking, calcium sulphate based, self-levelling floor screed that can be applied in thicknesses between 1 and 15 mm. It can be applied manually or by machine. It is a high performance product that corrects ground irregularities, can be pumped in liquid form, spreads perfectly, and has low surface tension.

Surface Preparation

Surface preparation: Care should be taken to ensure that the surface is solid, load-bearing, dust-free and clean. Any oil, grease, rust and paraffin residues that may weaken the adherence should be cleaned and there should be no loose parts. Any defects on the surface should be repaired. Air flow should be prevented in the application area. In large areas, tiling should be done to prevent elevation differences and application elevations should be determined. Priming: The surface should be primed in order to extend the processing time of the Floor Leveling Mortar 15 mm leveling screed, to provide high adherence to the application surface and to minimize possible air bubbles. A second coat of primer should be applied on highly absorbent surfaces. At least two hours should be waited between coats where primer will be applied. Floor Leveling Mortar 15 mm application is started 24 hours after the primer application. The primer should be applied without diluting.

To mix up

The appropriate amount of water is poured into a clean mixing bucket. The material is slowly added to the mixing bucket and mixed with a low-speed mixer for approximately 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After resting for approximately 4 minutes, it is mixed again for 30 seconds and made ready for use.

Mixing Ratio: For 25 kg Bag: 6.5-7.5 liters of water, Mixing Density: 2 gr/cm3

Application

The prepared mortar is spread automatically. The thickness of the material is adjusted with a toothed trowel. Water should not be added during the setting period, and air on the surface should be removed with a spiked roller. Sudden temperature changes that may occur in the application environment should be prevented. Application should not be made in areas exposed to the effects of sun and wind. After the smoothing and spiked roller applications, the completed application is left to dry. It can be walked on after approximately 6 hours. For a 5 mm layer, it can be processed after 72 hours. It is recommended to wait 24 hours more for every 1 mm thickness over 5 mm.

Points to Consider

  • Ground Leveling Mortar 15 mm is suitable for application in temperature conditions between +5 0C and +30 0C. If the ambient or application ground temperature is not within the appropriate temperature range; appropriate temperatures should be waited for application. Application should not be done in extremely hot and windy environments.
  • Since the ground and ambient temperature to be applied will affect the hydration reaction, the ambient and ground temperature should be within the allowed temperature range.
  • Rapid drying should be prevented after the material is applied. The applied material should be protected from contact with water.
  • Applications should be done by expert applicators.
  • After the material is applied, at least three days should be waited for possible surface coating applications.
  • The mixture should definitely not be neglected to rest and remix before application.
