Application
The concrete surface to be applied should not be too wet or too dry. If the concrete is too dry; the surface hardener and the concrete will not be able to combine and crust will be lifted from the ground. If the application is made when the concrete is too wet; the surface hardener will separate and the necessary strength and durability will not be provided on the surface. The application is started if there is a footprint of 0.5-1.5 cm depth when you step on the concrete. The ground should be wet enough to absorb the moisture required by the surface hardener. In the application area; POMEX SURFACE HARDENER bags are placed around the slabs according to the consumption amount. It is thrown homogeneously on the surface with a hand or mechanical spreading machine. It is expected that the sprinkled material changes color by absorbing the water of the concrete. POMEX Surface Hardener, which is sprinkled homogeneously and changes color by absorbing water, is compressed with a tray float and integrated with the concrete. In applications over 5 kg/m2, first 2/3 of the material is sprinkled and a disk process is performed. Then the remaining 1/3 amount of material is sprinkled and floated with a disk. After the rough polishing process; final polishing should be done with fine blade adjustments until the desired shine is achieved. Water should not be sprinkled on the surface during application.
